Dr Tanweer Shahid, Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata, speaks the language of caring and competence, and is appreciated for his trustworthy and down-to-earth communication style. For a strong doctor-patient relationship, he takes the time to get to know his patients, discuss their concerns, answer their questions, educate them, and help them make good health choices.

Dr Tanweer Shahid is a nationally recognized radiation oncologist. After completing his post-graduation he undertook advanced training from world-renowned Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

After serving as a Senior Consultant for more than 10 years in Kolkata, he now holds the post of the Academic Head in Apollo Gleneagles Hospital Kolkata. His passion for teaching has leaded him to mentor many young budding doctors in the country. His areas of interest are Head & Neck Cancers, Genito-Urinary Cancers, Breast Cancers and Hematological malignancies.

Dr. Tanweer Shahid works hard to stay up-to-date with the recent advances in his field. He looks forward to solving his patients’ challenges as well as sharing their joys.

He is a member of professional bodies like American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), European Society of Radiation and Oncology (ESTRO), PROS (Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society), Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), and Indian Society of Neuro-oncology (ISNO).
